SELL WITH PASSION

Are you a believer? How passionate are you about your product, service and company? I get to hear a lot of sales presentations. Some are good. Some are great. What's the difference? Passion.

Passion sells, and enthusiasm is contagious. It is the energy you put into the sale, and it comes from your heart, not just your head. Many salespeople can read from a line card or recite accurately their value-added services. Great salespeople put passion into this exercise. Customers buy their products and services because everyone wants to feel good about how they spend their money. Enthusiasm makes the buyer feel better about the purchase. The buyer may know intellectually that the product makes sense, but passion moves the buyer.

Put some passion into your sales. Become a maniac on a mission to spread your good news. Get so excited about your solution that your bones itch as you talk about it. How do you do this? Tell the buyer what you believe about your company and product. Explain why you have invested years of your life to promote what you sell. Speak from the heart. Give him a window to see into your motivation. Sell with energy.
